Writer/Editor

Rosemary McClure is an award-winning travel and lifestyles writer/editor who has a sense of humor, a graceful and creative writing style and a passion to share the world with others. She currently writes a column for the Los Angeles Times; other clients include Universal Studios, University of California, Readers Digest Publications, Every Day with Rachael Ray and Islands magazine. McClure won Lowell Thomas Travel Writer of the Year award twice, the highest honor bestowed on North American travel writers; she also is a two-time winner of the University of Missouri Lifestyle Award. She has a master's degree from the University of Southern California and has taught at UC and California State colleges.

Senior editor – (May 2010 to present)
Managing and developing projects for the UC Irvine School of Medicine website, including writing, editing and digital production. 

Afrika Travel & Tourism Magazine
Editor-in-chief – (December 2008 to January 2010)
Managing the start-up of a new magazine funded by international investors. The quarterly publication's name is taken from the Swahili word for Africa. It is being developed to appeal to the U.S. market; writers and photographers are international, but primarily from the U.S. and Africa.

Developed and edited diverse pieces for the weekly Travel section. Wrote lead pieces from around the world for the section and for L.A. Times Magazine.

Managed a team of copy editors, designers and other production personnel for a regional edition serving 250,000 readers. Size of staff varied from 35 to 150.
