Janet Wilson

Recommendations

“Janet is a great storyteller. She uses comprehensive reporting skills to craft unique yarns. Some of my favorite stories she wrote for the LA Times were Column Ones. One was an expose on The Nature Conservancy, the world's wealthiest environmental organization, drilling for oil in an endangered bird's last scrap of habitat. She also did a wonderful first person account about marrying and then evacuating because of wildfire and flood. In 1999 she wrote a piece out of the UN about poorest children being last in line for vaccines. She is terrific at spotting important stories, researching and reporting them so they are documented beyond question, and then writing them so they truly come to life.”
